New pattern alert!! I’m so proud to announce my first PDF sewing pattern: the Shade Shrug!

Shade is a cropped shrug with cuffed sleeves, designed for woven fabrics. It’s the perfect summer layer to accompany all your fave sleeveless garments!

I included instructions for different neckline finishes, which really change up the sewing experience with this pattern. Doing a visible bias tape finish is the quickest and easiest, whereas the facings are slower and more meditative.

It’s meant for woven fabrics, light to medium weight. I recommend quilting cotton, linen, double-gauze, and chambray to name a few!

I was inspired to make this design from a practical need. My shoulders get sunburned quite often in the summer, so I wanted a light cover that doesn’t hold too much heat. You can draft sleeves for it (instructions included) to make it useful year-round!
