Noticable progression of skills is one of the most encouraging things about sewing and crafting.

I’ve been doing the occasional cross stitch lately. They’re enjoyable and I’ve really beefed up my handsewing skills as a result. As a side bonus, I’ve learned more about creating pixel art as a cross stitch design is very similar to 8-bit art.

Anyway, I had 2 finished ready to be washed and re-hooped. One I did a few months ago, the other I just finished for a Christmas present. When I turned them over, I noticed a big difference in the backs. Can you tell which one I did first? 😉
