Hi, I’m Virginia!
I’ve never been much of a fashionista, but I love creating clothes that are right for me.
Sewing is my passion. I’ve been making all my clothes since 2014 and started drafting patterns a couple years later.
Apart from sewing, I enjoy video games, cats, all sorts of music, terrible TV shows and hot beverages.
Nature and ecology are important to me, and I will occasionally post about reusing materials, using scraps to reduce your carbon footprint, and plants of course.
About the blog:
Making quality garments with special couture touches makes my heart sing! Clotho & Frigg is my way of sharing that passion and love for sewing.
The name “Clotho & Frigg'” has mythical roots. Clotho is one of the Three Fates, spinning the Thread of Life. And Frigg, a Norse goddess of wisdom and foresight, also known for her weaving prowess. They’re both powerful mythical figures and badass women.
But mostly, I just love the notion of challenging the fates and expressing our true individuality. Crafting my own clothes helped me to embrace my authentic self, tap into my confidence, and take on the Fates.
I hope to inspire others to make unique, expressive garments and demonstrate that creating a fully hand-made wardrobe is possible and fun!
Questions, remarks, critiques? Let me know! I’m also available for commissioned work. Sign up for my newsletter for first dibs on new projects!
