Sew a neat fabric storage roll for your pesky bobbins!
Bobbins are essential and annoying. They unravel, that’s obvious. But we also end up with a bunch of bobbins in different colors or varying amounts of thread, and sometimes it’s easier to just store them away until they can be used again.
I made this pattern to wrangle all my little bobbins in one place, without unraveling. It has room for 18 bobbins, with a place for hand-stitching needles. It’s called a roll because you roll it up, and secure it with a ribbon or bias tape tie. It’s a moderately quick sewing project; it could be done in an afternoon or in a couple of sittings.
I don’t have to dig around for bobbins anymore or find them tangled around other bobbins and notions. They’re snug in their little beds! Having my bobbins organized definitely saves me some frustration (and time!) over the tangled messes of my past.
