I really love big sweaters.
This pattern, “Puff”, is my love letter to big sweaters. The sleeves are extra long and wide, with tapered cuffs. The hem sits around hip length, finished with a band. It’s loose but semi-fitted in the bust so I don’t get lost in it.
I had only made one of these before, in the early Spring, and I wear it all the time. Now that sweater knits are back, it’s time to make a few more!
I made this sweater one exactly like the first. It’s super comfy but the sleeve cuffs are a little too big. I’m going to experiment with tapering the cuff even more. The same goes for the hem band. I think it will elevate the design. Stay tuned for that!
The fabric is light french terry with good drape. When I bought this fabric, there was a debate whether the points were birds or mountains. I decided, for me, they are “v” for Virginia 🙂
I’m really happy with this sweater! I’ve incorporated the changes to this design and worked on the pattern quite a bit just this weekend. More on that soon!
